They All Fell; Reprise

Their blissful ignorance was their downfall
No rhyme, no reason, it happened all so suddenly
One moment they belt songs and ballads of victory
Next they lie broken on the hollowed marble hall floors
The fight was great.
The fight was grand.
And just when they thought they had won,
The double edged blade was stabbed between
Brilliant crimsons, dull golds, and tarnished bronze
All of the colors melt together in a single color
That paints the years fallen into an endless pattern.
Failure upon failure
Another war won, another war lost
Words harsh as winter winds
and physical disputes turned bloody.
When will it end?
When will the famine of peace cease?
The answer is simple...
They All Fell
But what did they fall for?
To save us from the sins we would drown in.
Like the scent of metal and fire they choked upon.
But the history book on the shelf
has always repeated itself.
There is no end
The only end that will ever exist
Is if all ends and falls apart
so that the pieces missing can come together.
So the real question becomes...
Will we really continue to choke on our sins
our mistakes
our ignorance
And create our own brand
Our own Downfall.
