Roughly translating to "Greatness from small beginnings," Sic Parvis Magna was the motto of Sir Francis Drake, an English pirate who started just like us - young, but full of dreams, and a thirst to see what was out there. All on his own, he lived to become great, grasping the fantasies that had become reality, glories that he had once only dreamed of. He explored the world to his content, was knighted by Queen Elizabeth, and left us all with a set of words that would become the path that would all lead us to greatness, no matter how insignificant our beginnings may be.
