Welcome to hogwarts, where legacies have been left and expectations raised. The hollowed halls of the glorious and most well known of magical establishments has been beaten ragged by evil and rebuilt by the pure of heart. Stories by the tens and hundreds all whisper still in Hogwarts from students long graduated or soon to leave, then New generation has arrived. Books and ink quills in hand learning is not the only thing that takes place here in Hogwarts. For this is the life they experience before they go out onto the world. This is the test of purity and strength, their choices here will make the path on which they will travel. It is up to every student on the roster of which their heart will take form. Shall it be a dove of white or a bat of night. But as they go on with their classes, their only worries the next transfiguration test or who they will invite to the Yule ball. Something wicked stirs beneath. Only a few have recognized the signs, but as they are young they are too naive to realize that it may be too late. With a New generation of hogwarts students, there is bound to be an evil not too far behind. For there must always be balance between light and dark. The threat rises like a black cloud, is this just the calm f the storm? The strange happenings such as the sudden appearances of vampires, halflings? The death of Harry Potter? The possessin of a student? The deaths of muggles being plasted to the covers of magazines and being advertised? What exactly is in works here?

"I would say that I'm quite clever. Well, depending on your definition of clever that is."
Bethanie isn't kidding around when she states that she is 'clever.' Because in all aspects, the girl is ingenius with the way she uses her resources. She is academically proficient in most of her classes -all except Herbology, "screw Herbology"- and finds it easy to understand the basic concepts of topics even with minimal amount of studying. In many ways, she has a special gift of being able to keenly scrutinize things to the point where that in itself tells a story (or at least for the most part, for she has found out that her instincts aren't always 100% correct).
Still that is not all, the Slytherin is, as expected, a cunning young adult. By the time Beth knew how to walk and talk, she was already showing the telltale signs of the future Slytherin she would be: with magic and smarts to hide her real intentions. Although these intentions did not have any serious damage (because in all seriousness, she was more of a prankster than anything else), this earned her the reputation. Pranks, however, lost their allure to the fifteen year old as she grew up, thereupon which she took it upon herself to evolve into much bigger and better things. Troublemakers, despite what the general consensus believe, tend to have quick reactions to match their witty minds; and this instigating trait is prevalent in Bethanie's actions where she works best under stress, making the most impromptu things the best work she have or will do.
Similarly, another one of her ability is getting away with things. From late night sneak outs to stealing books from the restricted section of the library, Bethanie has stealth to make up for what she lacks. This goes hand in hand with her quite helpful talent of bluffing. She tends to bluff her way through many things and yet, when some get caught, she miraculously doesn't. And so, she often believes she is invincible of the struggles that her classmates go through. In the Everton's mind they are simply horrible at covering their tracks whereas she, the silver tongued trickster, is not.
"Let's just say I get whatever I want. And don't get me wrong, I don't condone gluttony or selfishness, of course not, just that what I say goes."
The Slytherin House and the Gryffindor House are the main two arch-rival houses of the four, and many believe this is due to how close the houses resemble each other. Beth is a prime example of one that brinks between the careful line of the Slyherin and Gryffindor House for she is an ambitious teenager. With the ever thirsty desire for knowledge and all that in between, she is mainly a person who has many wants and desires about the world and all its inhabitants, that of which can be seen as miserly- but this is also a trait that many of those in the Gryffindor House has. The only difference for her, though, is the overwhelming drive of ambition; it has become to the point where it is brazen, forgetting about the feelings of others and lacking the moral compass that many Gryffindors have. The fifteen year old can also be said to be power hungry. Her extreme appetite for influence has -pending-
Ambitious, power-hungry, and an over achiever.
"I suppose I tend to sugar coat things. But then again, who doesn't? I'm not all that mean."
Her words tend to have an affect on people. The sandy blonde is a magician with a tongue like the snake's and elegance of a goddess. And even though her whispers of sugar-coated truth may sound enticing- be aware, she is known to be a manipulator of sorts.
But not all is sugar sweet with her, the young Everton is very much like a television reporter. Though for her it is easy to articulate, she tends to exaggerate and/or downplay the truth, fabricating the truth with sprinkles of lies. In such a way, the public should only take what she says with a grain of salt. The interview is a clear example of her ability to downplay such things, where her true feelings are stifled in the eloquence of prose.
Beth Everton is prone to skew her opinions one way or another, -pending-
Though she may seem arrogant from the surface, it is only due to the fact nobody has tried to peel the rough, outermost layers of her personas.
"I would say I have a bit of a competitive streak. Or rather, to put it simply, I like to win."
Number 1 is who she aims to be. Her ambition doesn't lie in simple, meager tasks like homework- rather she strives to be the best she can, to be the top one percent of her class, to be the one that controls the student body with an small flick of her wand. But that doesn't come easy when she also is a perfectionist. Yes, many people will confess profusively that they are a perfectionist, however they wouldn't compare to Beth, who is anal and almost obsessive compulsive with leaving things in its most 'perfect' form.

Beth Everton is a pretty average young adult at first glance. Standing at five foot five, she certainly is not the tallest but not the shortest girl in her grade. Neither is the girl too skinny or overweight, she is smack dab in the middle with a weight that is common for girls her age. Although the fifteen year old isn't always satisfied with how she looks, Bethanie is also glad to have an hourglass shape even though her hips are the smallest bit wider than any other part of her body. But at the end of it all, she is nothing out of the ordinary; with the exception that would some have said she has matured fast for her age.
Yet her facial features are what differs from the plain old, plain old. With a porceline complexion, her eyes are accentuated with their hazel-green color which are framed with heavy set of eyelashes. Her nose is somewhat Roman shaped, straight down and regal looking. Moving further down, her lips are thin and has a small cupid's bow curved at the top. On top of all that is sandy-blond and nearly brown mass of hair that cascades down her shoulders and back. The only specific altered part of her would be her ears, where there are multiple peircings: from an industrial bar done on her right to the double earlobe earrings that she sports around school.
If anything, Bethanie's features make her an unique individual despite the trite traits of your everyday teenage girl.

"Beater for the Slytherin Hosue is not a pretty job, I tell you."
As if juggling between day-to-day school work wasn't enough, she is also one of the two beaters for Quidditch. It isn't quite often that one sees a female trying out for the beater position, but with her agility and hidden strength (something that has to do with her arms being well built), Bethanie's stress and anger are taken out by this sport. She finds it relaxing to have such power over the other players, being that beaters are the only ones allowed a bat in the arena, other than the fact that bludgers usually aim towards her or one of her mates.

Her accent is one that mixes well between the Irish and British students of Hogwarts. As she was the only offspring of Lucille Macmillan and Jonathon Everton, Bethanie spent much of her time with the two adapting to a combination of a Dublin, Irish accent, and a London, British accent.
"Me dad's a muggle, mum's a witch."
Unlike many of the wizards and witches her age, she has an inclination of listening to "muggle" music as well. Since her childhood, the Everton was used to listening such songs like Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" and other classical compositions of the like. Though her music taste has changed, there is one thing about it that hasn't: her preference for muggle-done music.

Bethanie prefers potions and charms over classes like Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures. She finds clean-cut subjects a lot more easier and pragmatic compared to those that have more to do with 'caring' because in all honesty, those wouldn't be helpful in the near future. Vivian knows beauty and looks don't last long in life. In fact, she's quite insecure and uneasy when it comes to the subject. Like every other girl, the seventeen year old isn't perfect and believes her appearance could be improved and will often be nit-picky about small things. She often avoids discussions about it, but also isn't afraid to speak up to the girls that gossip and the boys who critisize. In such a way, she seems almost humble about the exterior front- but her actions will tell a different story. Many see her as the girl that 'gets around' or the 'easy' one, which is a sad misconception on their part. It's been said that she would go out with anything that had a heartbeat and her constant going out has finally piqued suspicion to her house mates. Nevertheless, even with that reputation hanging around her neck every time she's in the Great Hall or in class, Vivian shrugs it off like water off a duck's back. She isn't one for making fake friends or even becoming acquaintances with such people that gossip. Her avoidance of people can come off to some as intense or even weird, but then again, she isn't one to approach people- rather, she expects others to approach her. In the way she alienates herself, the seventeen year old may seem spoiled and pretentious. And, as others would claim that this as truth, this is only how others preceive her as, not who she is in actuality.

She's the one person that you can count to hear in terms of debates. Her voice, although quiet and reserved, can hold lots of influence when in a heated argument. Likewise, she holds tight and firm opinions about herself, the world, and its workings. Since the beginning of this year, her beliefs have changed for the better- she now believes in what comes around, will eventually go around. And thus with her new-found but strongly convinced faith of Buddhism, she would never intentionally hurt anybody.
Nevertheless, the young Hall knows she can be easily pushed around. Her stubborn mentality is one thing, but other than that, she sympathizes with other people. As a good listener, Vivian has too kind of a heart to refuse or drive away somebody that purposefully seeked her out. This is one of the reasons why she was put into Hufflepuff, one who would toil over those that she's especially fond of.

Vivian, despite her bookwormish appearance, is a carefree soul. She doesn't worry herself over trivial things but the necessities, her grades being the first and friends being second. Still, stress never seems to pile up on her mind- as to her, it's a question of what she can and cannot do.
Being in Hufflepuff has also shaped her into the person she is today. The house is naturally lackadaisical in what they do. It prides in hard work and the struggle of getting to the result, not the the result itself. She could see why she would be put into this house and, despite the opinions of the public, takes pride in being a Hufflepuff though the same can't be said other way around.

Recently, her insecurities have gotten to her- to the point where her relationships have become gradually affected by this. It's worse enough that the criticism never gets to her, but now it has exacerbated even to the point where the ones closest have been distanced away.
Her relationship with Liam Sinclaire is one instance. She found herself losing interest in being a girlfriend and started to experiment the boundaries of their relationship. Nobody had expected this out of the blue especially since from the start, the relationship was looking different and for the first year, they were still quite infatuated with each other. Yet what can one do when one was simply used to being close, romantically so, to the other gender? It became harder and harder to refuse the attention that she was receiving from a certain someone, and by time- she couldn't help but to flirt back and let loose.

Though the couple has gone through their ups and downs the past few years, it was only recently did they experience a true strain on their relationship. This strain has been the straw that had broke the camel's back as of now, and by then both noticed just now dysfunctional they were. Usually, when one is love with another, the couple could not (would not) see each other's faults- but the final straw had broken them to two different people, stripped naked of their crazed desire for each other. At once, Vivian could see that this was not going to work (and most likely, the same could be said of Liam), upon which they had decided to take a break or specifically, "let's just stay as friends."
This break, however, did not end up becoming a break at all.
Yes, their relationship was temporarily, and possibly longer than that, on hold. But they had decided it was mutual, and at the time, it sounded like a good idea ("Being friends is better than nothing, right?"). Yet in the time they were finally able to enjoy their own separate lives, one of them relapsed.
And it wasn't Vivian.
Before she knew it, Liam was back into her life though they both knew, it wasn't for the best. They hadn't gotten back together or became a 'thing;' it was purely a physical relationship without strings attached because after those few moments they would spend together, the two would off again in their separate struggles, separate lives. It was too tempting and not to mention quite against her nature to refuse him once again, so here Vivian was. She had no choice but to accept him even though she, herself, was already distant from Liam. After all, they were only "friends," weren't they?

The dark shade of hawthorn wood has been repainted over with a lighter brown, as well as having a new addition of details encrusted in the wand. It has been redecorated to be more true to the wood.

Her reputation around school can often be found contracting other aspect of her. The azure eyed female is said to be a teacher's pet and a good one at that. Though she may not come off as an academic achiever, she does find time to build relationships with the current teachers of the school. And by this, Vivian doesn't only do this for the sake of her grades but rather to actually get to know them- she idolizes her teachers in a higher sense of respect, something that she notices that the student body lacks.

Vivian Hall has begun to take a liking to Buddhism. Though she was raised in a pretty secular family, her recent realization of why she is here was answered by this. It is a fact that Buddhism is more of a lifestyle than an actual religion and to her, that was comforting to know. At the current time, she often tries her best to follow the eight fold path and to do as many positive things in this life to better herself for the next.

Unlike her classmates, Vivian still has tang of an American southern accent. Being that she is originally from the United States gives her a bit of an edge compared to the general British public, though that in itself isn't much.

It was February 14th, otherwise known as Valentine's Day to many others. From the time that Vivian got up, she could basically smell the pheromones and the heavy excitement that lingered in the air. It was quite superficial really for people to get so worked up on Valentine's Day, after all it was only a commercialized holiday that was specifically made to sell cheesy (albeit cute) things.
A miserable groan escaped her coral pink lips as she started to dress, remembering that Liam would probably be wanting something for this 'special day.' It was times like this when the brunette truly started to question them two and if they were ever going to see things eye-to-eye. Sure, they were two different people with two very different situations but it wouldn't hurt him if he could just simply listen and understand her side of the relationship. But then again, Vivian would have to leave it at that before thoughts got out of hand; she was already thinking too much this early in the morning. The girl took a short sigh before attempting to tie her hair into a ponytail, until she noticed just how much time had passed. By now, she had missed breakfast and would be late to her first class.
"Ah crud," she whispered as she swooped up her book bag and raced out of the round doors of her dormitory. Despite how cosy and warm her common room was, Vivian Hall was not in the mood for this or any other 'lovey-dovey' thing today. It was bad enough that today was Valentine's, was it not?
The girl had made it to her seat in Herbology right before the teacher was taking roll. She had made it within the nick of time and could barely take a breath before they were all ordered to get the matured mandrake plants to be prepared for a Potions class. And that would've been a simple task if it weren't for the boy blocking her way.
"Excuse me," the brunette said before the kid turned around, eyes dropping down to her's. She remembered his face and his house: Lucian, Slytherin House. "Oh, it's just you."
"Just me?" He scoffed, eyes moving up and down scanning Vivian's disheveled clothes and hair. She felt naked under his eye and stared at him with incredulity. It wasn't like Vivian hadn't expected this (because it was him), but she surely didn't want the attention either. It constantly felt like a losing game whenever it was Lucian against her, and she didn't know why but it seemed as if they were getting closer as the year went by. It was an odd friendship if to say in the least.
"Lucian, move."
The seventeen year old pushed him out of the way, temper unable to be kept in check and thoughts lagging behind actions. She clumsily took a pot and was heading back to her seat when again, Lucian appeared between her and the seat.
"Why the long face, Viv?"
"I'm not in the mood today."
It wasn't like she hated this boy, not at all. Still, he would manage to pop up out of nowhere whenever the azure eyed girl was in a bad mood. She had considered him an acquaintance of sorts, a friend even; well, if it weren't for those roaming eyes, that was.
