Starstruck: The Sky Is Not the Limit

Starstruck Rp Theskyisnotthelimit

Genre: Romance, drama, slice of life, action, comedy

Starry-eyed Soulmates

One more gaze into your eyes
Before we meet our demise
As we hide under his guise
Full of the untruths and lies
Bonds broken along with ties

All I desire is a last embrace
Sweet embrace, sweet embrace
Warmth spreading through us
Spirits lifting
Doubts sinking

The universe swallows everything whole
Frowning upon foolish decisions
Preparing to tear our lives apart

I’ll carve a last smile onto your face
Traveling faster than the speed of light
Bracing you through harmful impacts

Silent forces all around
Separating our entwined fingers
Forbidding any contact

All I desire is a last embrace
Sweet embrace, sweet embrace
Cold frosting our veins
Spirits sinking
Doubts lifting

One more gaze into your eyes
Before we meet our demise
As we hide under his guise
Full of the untruths and lies
Bonds broken along with ties

Background Story

A SMALL NOTE:

Humans are selfish.
Their “needs” are merely wants.
Therefore, we call them a disgrace to all creatures.

Whenever Earthlings see a shooting star, it's a glimmer of hope, a chance to wish for intangible things that are out of their reach. They expect too much, believing that a bit of luck will make the impossible come true. For years, we’ve been unable to decipher the complexity of the behavior and information stored inside their puny brains. How are they so ignorant when someone somewhere in the world (or galaxy, for that matter) is much worse off than them? The answer has yet to appear, but there are more pressing matters we have to tend to.

One of our own has been sent down to the accursed wasteland, known otherwise as Earth and we’re not sure how to retrieve him. You ask, “Who’s to blame?” That brings us to the Earthling, a girl well into her teenage years. We began watching her as soon as she made contact with him.

Facts:

She wants to be featured on the headline of a newspaper.
She wants to be recognized by people wherever she goes.
She wants to meet a star.

She wished for the last and well, that’s how this whole mess came to be.

Plot

It just so happened that the heavens decided to grant the girl's wish. The shooting star is separated from his constellation family and whisked away to Earth. Causing a national crisis when he lands and creates a crater, the star winds up meeting the girl. The media scrambles to snap pictures, while there's a manhunt out for him and his associate. The girl regrets her wish, but it's too late to turn back. All she has to do is evade the authorities, find out who he really is, and get him back home. It shouldn't be too challenging, right?

Rules

1. Follow all terms and guidelines.
2. Literacy is a must.
3. Post at least once a week.
4. Creativity please.

Characters

Posts from the last page where we left off
Sorry for the plain text.

"What? Oh, no," Taylor said as she yawn, "Sarah's not here yet. She should be here soon, however." Faust quickly expressed happiness when she mentioned his home, and Taylor couldn't help but smile at how much he loved his home. "Taylor stays up all night then. Faust no sleeps now. Conversation is good. Lullaby? Charm? Lullaby is on Sarah?" At this, Taylor laughed, because she found his inability to use proper grammar...well, adorable. "Oh, never mind. You'd like to have a conversation? Of course. Here, why don't you lie or, er, sit down on the bed. What would you like to talk about?"
-

"Here soon?" For Faust, meeting up with his family members was no easy task--not as easy as walking down a hallway. Laughter. The beautiful sound came from Taylor again. That was good. Against her wishes, he resumed bouncing up and down on the bed before regaining his focus and plopping down on the bed. Feeling oddly exposed, he found an opening where the sheets had been undone. He tunneled his way until he was completely covered by the blankets and sheets. He didn't bother to think she might be wary of him sharing the bed. "Earth and humans. Faust curious," he said, his voice muffled. At least he was more coherent now, if only slightly.
-

Faust quickly crawled over and wormed his way into the sheets. Pursing her lips slightly, Taylor decided against telling him to sleep on the couch. Once Sarah joined them, she'd simply move over to the couch. But for the meanwhile, Taylor simply laid back down and turned on her side to get a better view of Faust, who was well covered. With a small and wary smile, Taylor gently tucked the sheet down a bit, revealing dark eyes. "Earth and humans," the boy said, "Faust curious." Nodding, Taylor rested her head onto her arm, "Ah. Well, Earth is a planet. It's kind of like a star, but it's solid. Well, some. Planets like Jupiter and Neptune and Uranus are made of gas--" Stopping herself, she quickly realized Faust was already getting confused. "Ehm, here. I'll put it this way; Earth is a place for humans to live. Humans are people like me. And Andrew and William, too. You're a star, but right now, you're not in your body, understand? You're in the shape of a human yourself."
-
Faust squealed as Taylor pulled the sheet down, revealing his eyes. The scenery didn't change much for it was dark, but now he could see her outline. Faust covered his face again, thinking this was a game. More accurately, peek-a-boo, but he didn't know that. He listened closely. "Earth." At least one word he was able to comprehend. "Plane? Planet. Solid. Gas. Stars and gas. Huh?" He sighed in exasperation. He needed to build up his vocabulary, but the planet names were extremely foreign to him. With the other words he learned, he could associate them with an action or something else. Here, there was nothing to work with. "Yes. Humans live on Earth. Stars live above in sky. Faust not human. Faust star."
-

Taylor only nodded. As Faust covered his face again, she heard herself laugh. A small, light one that only Sarah or Andrew could pull out of her. Lying there next to the boy with silver hair, it was as if another child had popped out of nowhere, in need of her care. Taylor and Faust did not utter a single word after that. The silence was thick and warm, like hot chocolate. "Faust." Taylor's voice, though soft, seemed to cut through the silence as easily as a blade against paper. "Faust, do you know what happened?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper, "Do you know why you fell from the sky?"
-

Taylor's laughter was so infectious that Faust immediately joined in in, a cascade of giggles escaping his chapped lips. He buried his face into the blankets, finally feeling safe and comfortable for once since he'd crash-landed on Earth. Being with Taylor was nice. He lasped into silence, although he normally talked a mile a minute. He wasn't the least bit tired, but he was trying to be considerate to Taylor. Faust would've settled down sooner had it not been for Taylor's next comments. "Wishing on a star. Star comes down to fulfill wish."
-

As a child, Taylor had always believed in things like Santa Claus, true love's kiss, and magic. Things that couldn't be seen, things that came from her mother's voice, whispered in the dark before she left, leaving Taylor to only imagine in her bed, tucked in, eyes shut tight. Taylor told herself she'd stopped believing when Harry left. When her mother died. When her father was arrested. When she realized her dream of becoming a singer would never be fulfilled. She'd told herself that was when she let go of the fairytales. But in truth, she never did stop. Perhaps her belief had been severely weakened. Or made into an object of loathing. But that didn't change the fact that she still believed. It didn't change the fact that she was still a selfish child, and she still wished for things.

Taylor did not bother remembering. She did not bother to remember that night, her hands laced toegther, pressed to her forehead. She did not remember the closed eyelids, her pounding heart that called her a naive little girl. And she did not remember the words she whispered in the dark, forgotten and undiscovered. She buried it deep inside of her, and did not try to recall it.

Instead, she forced her brain to hear his voice, casual and quick. A tone on took on when answering another question deemed meaningless and due to curiosity. "Wishing on a star. Star comes down to fulfill wish."

Taylor was tired. Very. But the answer had not been an expected one. Her eyes flew open, she lifted her head and stared at Faust in silence, "Fulfill wish...?" she whispered, her mind reeling. Wishes. Hadn't that been the one thing she'd believed in the most as a child? Wishing on a shooting star? Her heart jumped and she felt the childish need to say, "I knew it!" Resting her head back against the pillow, Taylor nodded numbly, the information still sinking in. And something else, too. Something nagged at her, way in the back of her head.

If Taylor hadn't been so tired, she might have figured out what.

Starstruck Rp Faust

Faust nodded as Taylor reiterated his words. His sole purpose was to fulfill people's wishes; he knew that much. Then why didn't he bother asking her what she had requested of him? He had pushed that thought back to the deep recesses of his mind, left to collect dust on the shelves. Currently, Faust had the same mentality as that of a seven-year-old, if even that old. At the same time, it was unwise to underestimate his ability to learn. He was simply captivated by the Earthlings, Taylor in particular, and would continue to explore, no mater how much he yearned to go home and see his family and friend Halley.

Suddenly noticing that Taylor had stopped communicating, Faust began prodding her body, which was met with no response. She was dead to the world. He instructed himself to stay calm and still, observing her for any signs of life. Her chest heaving up and down and steady breathing rhythm indicated she was still alive-a great relief to him. He still huffed a sigh of disappointment, though, because that meant he couldn't talk to her to pass the time. Faust snuggled up to her until he heard a funny noise (a snore he would learn later on), causing him to get off the bed.

Faust slipped out of the room, his muscles remembering the feel of a doorknob and how to operate it. He stayed close to the ground, worming his way into the room he was in just a few hours ago. He warily eyed the "television", immediately hiding behind the sofa. This would be the place he finally fell asleep, where nobody would initially think to check to look for an alien male.

Starstruck Rp Scaled.php?server=716&filename=taylornl

When Taylor opened her eyes again, it was light outside. Startled, for she did not have even the slighted memory of falling asleep, she immediately sat up, only to let out a groan and ease back down, a hand on her pounding head. Disoriented, Taylor shut her eyes to try and remember the fragments of last night. What had happened? As Taylor sunk into the sheets, two things suddenly occurred to her. One, her socks where still on, and two, her bed was not this comfortable. She felt her eyebrows knit against her forehead, and cautiously, opened her eyes, mouth slightly open with half-formed words.

A stomachache and an ambulance...and the man...and Anna and a bike William wanted to smuggle...and...and..."FAUST!" She hadn't meant to say it out loud, but it had fallen from her lips anyways in the rush of memories that were crashing back inside her head, leaving her feeling tired and alert all at once. Faust. Faust...her eyes drifted to the bed, and suddenly came to realize that the silver-haired boy who should have been sleeping next to here wasn't there. Ripping the sheets away, Taylor swung her legs over the bed and barely registered her lightheadedness as she stumbled blindly down the hallways, her heart thumping as loudly as her clumsy feet against the wood, still unsure from sleep.

"Faust? Faust! Where are you, Faust? Anna! Anna, William! Oh for god's sake-ANDREW! SARAH! FAUST!" Taylor was screaming by then, sudden paranoid that her siblings and the humanoid alien were snatched away while she slept carelessly like an irresponsible parent...nonono. It was unreasonable and ridiculous, but her frantic mind did not seem to grasp this yet.

Starstruck Rp Faust

No matter how young Andrew was, it didn’t take much time for him to comprehend that something was amiss. Due to the rude awakening he had, Andrew sat bolt upright when he heard Taylor’s yelling...pretty much yelling everyone’s name. Andrew yawned, still groggy as he rolled to his side and reluctantly clambered out of bed. He followed the sound of her voice and soon saw how distraught she was. Andrew heard “Faust” repeated multiple times. She was probably most concerned about him since he had barely adjusted to being in their house. “Taylor,” he greeted. “They’re all probably still asleep.” Andrew wasn’t one to worry that much.

He decided to help out, searching high and low for his new friend Faust, but he was nowhere in sight. Andrew returned to where Taylor was, shaking his head. Realizing there were actually some places he hadn’t checked, he continued to look around. He had to put himself in Faust’s shoes. Where would he take refuge? Certainly not somewhere out in the open. The moment his eyes settled on the sofa, Andrew knew he had found the right place. The sofa was a large enough piece of furniture to hide behind, and it was secure since there was a wall behind it. He peeked and sure enough, there was a sleeping Faust. Andrew hurried over to Taylor, tugging on her shirtsleeve. “I found him.” He led her over, where Faust was still sound asleep. He wasn’t accustomed to being awake during the daytime, as humans were.
