Chamber Terminology

✪ CnC - A common abbreviation for "comments and criticism". (CnC in art terms is to give out constructive criticism for an artist to improve upon.)

✪ GFX - A common abbreviation for graphics. (Graphics are basically digital works of art such as signatures, icons, avatars, banners, etc.)

✪ Giveaway - A thread in which an artist gives away their art, premade or no, for free.

✪ Ripping - The act of taking a piece of work from another user and claiming it to be your own. Ripping is very much looked down upon and forbidden here in the Chambers.

✪ Shop - A thread where an artist sells or gives out his/her work to other users.

✪ Siggy - A common abbreviation for a forum signature, or simply a signature. (A signature is either a block of text or an image that automatically appears after each forum post.)

✪ Size - Self-explanatory. The size of a graphic or artwork is usually in the format of [number 1] x [number 2]. The numbers stand for the length and width of an image respectively.

✪ Tut - A common abbreviation for a tutorial. (A tutorial in art terms usually refers to either a video or step-by-step instructions on how to create drawings, graphics, and such.)
